Make a Lasting Impact

Updated: Jan 21, 2022

Matthew 6:19-21: “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."

When I was in high school (in the early 90’s), I purchased a 1978 Pontiac Firebird. Most every dollar that I earned and the majority of my weekends went in to restoring that car. When I went to college in the fall of ’92, I had to sell the car. The owner immediately removed the engine for use in another car and stored the Firebird’s frame. He later sold the frame to some unknown person. Pontiac went out of business in 2009, and it has been years since I have seen a ’78 Firebird anywhere. The car that had received so much of my time and money in the early 90’s was likely scrapped for parts or is now rusting away in a field somewhere.

The Flaming Pine Youth Camp has introduced countless children to Christ, who have grown up and now are using camp to introduce their children and grandchildren to Jesus Christ. Many children and adults have been baptized in Mirror Lake. God has and is using the Flaming Pine Youth Camp to continue the tradition of spreading His Kingdom. Your efforts toward the Tour directly impact God’s Kingdom. The benefits of that work will never be sold, rusted, or scrapped.

In 2021 where are you storing up your time, effort, and treasures?
